In a nutshell: In the United States , the numberof outpatient palliative care programs is increasing, with evidence of improved patient and family clinical outcomes. Examining existing palliative care practices may be useful for EOLC programmes hoping to expand into the outpatient arena. The study aimed to learn about the structural components of a national sample of outpatient palliative care practices.
