In a nutshell:  Part 2 of a two part series which sets out to explain the official position paper of the European Association for Palliative Care (EAPC).  The focus of this part of the document is on the provision of palliative care services in the community setting.   Issues such as advance care planning, availability of care, continuity of care, preferred place of care and minimum resources essential for different types of palliative care are discussed.
