In a nutshell:   This one day conference on 19th January in Manchester is chaired by Tom Hughes-Hallett Chairman End of Life Implementation Advisory Board and Chief Executive Marie Curie Cancer Care.  The conference will provide an update on delivering high quality end of life care and focus on the second annual report which addresses the progress in implementing the strategy, highlights the need for further work and sets out the plan for the year ahead.  The Department of Health’s Quality and Productivity Challenge (QIPP) has been developed to help identify where and how the NHS can make £15-20 billion of productivity savings by 2014 and End of Life Care is one of the first twelve QIPP workstreams.
