In a nutshell:  This quantitative research in Australia explores the quality of life (QOL) trajectory of community-based palliative care patients and their carers, in order to inform service delivery. Patient QOL scores for physical, existential and psychological well-being, physical symptoms and support, and carer QOL scores relating to positive adaptation, burden, financial concerns and disruptiveness were compared at baseline and follow-up.
