In a nutshell: In this post, Hazel Wilcock, a Senior Counsellor at St Ann’s Hospice in Greater Manchester describes the development of a psychological support service aimed at reaching more people during the pandemic. At St Anne’s, they have continued to offer counselling, bereavement and psychological support over the telephone or via video calls. The have also not simply replicated their face-to-face support ‘virtually’, but have shaped a new model of support that is flexible and lets people receive the most appropriate service.
